Shaped in nature 3

Shaped in nature 3

Original work from 2020.
Acrylic and chalk on Hahnhemühle paper, 300gm2.
55cm x 70cm, without frame.

The series "Shaped in nature" was created during an artist-in-residence stay at the Richard and Uli Seewald Foundation in Ronco sopra Ascona in Ticino, Switzerland, in 2020. During one month, the artist spent her time in Richard Seewald's former studio house. Surrounded by wild and overgrown nature, high up on Lake Maggiore, the artist found an incredible number of forms shaped by nature.

"The entire series consisted of always the same shape, but changing in colour. The two parts symbolise the visible and the invisible in every form of nature. Part of my aesthetic, especially the shaping, often has its origin in nature”. - Eveline Stauffer
